Friends, family, and colleagues are mourning the death of Chicago realtor Monika Drwiega, whose unexpected passing has left a deep void in the communities where she lived and worked. Although authorities have not yet released official details regarding the circumstances of her death, tributes continue to pour in, honoring her for her kindness, warmth, and vibrant spirit. Drwiega was a dedicated realtor with RCI Realty, where she earned a reputation for her passion, professionalism, and commitment to helping clients find their homes. Beyond her real estate work, she was also a beloved bartender at the Second Time Around Bar & Grill, an Eastern European–themed establishment on Chicago’s Northwest Side. In a heartfelt message, the bar’s owners reflected on her impact: “It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our longtime bartender, Monika, has passed away. You will forever remain in our memories and in our hearts. You were the smile of this place and the warmth of our hearts.” The bar announced that a memorial gathering will be held in her honor at the Polish Bistro, located at 8303 W. Irving Park Rd., on November 28. In addition, a fundraiser is being organized to support Drwiega’s mother, who is expected to travel to the United States in the wake of her daughter’s passing. Loved ones describe Monika as a “beautiful and kind soul,” someone whose genuine personality lit up every room she entered. As the community awaits further information from authorities, tributes continue to highlight the profound loss felt by everyone who knew her.
