Ivan Cesar Ronquillo has reportedly died following the spread of false news by Valentine Rosales Alain Chen regarding the death of Gina Lima. According to available information, Ronquillo took his own life amid the confusion and rumors circulating online.

Gina Lima’s story first gained attention on social media on November 17, 2025, portraying her as a victim of physical abuse. ABS-CBN.com reported that she was declared dead on arrival at Quezon City General Hospital on Sunday, November 16.

Quezon City Police Department Spokesperson PMaj. Jennifer Gannaban explained the circumstances, saying, “The hospital itself called Police Station 1 to report the incident, which is why Station 1 responded, and that is what was recorded in the official report.” The alleged cause of Gina’s death was listed as cardiac respiratory distress.

As the news spread online, Gina’s friends began raising questions about Ivan’s possible involvement. Comments on platforms such as Facebook and Reddit linked him to Cezar M. Ronquillo, a former kagawad of Brgy. Apolonio Samson in Quezon City, suggesting he might be Ivan’s father.

The barangay hall confirmed to PEP.ph that Cezar’s last term ended prior to the May 2025 midterm elections and noted that he had served as a councilor since 2018.

The spread of misinformation surrounding Gina’s death caused widespread confusion and distress among the online community.
