Cali Agent, 14, Killed After Being Struck by Car While Crossing Hearne Avenue in Shreveport

Cali Agent, a 14-year-old Shreveport girl, has been identified as the victim of a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred Monday evening, Dec. 15, according to authorities.

Shreveport Police said the crash happened around 5:33 p.m. near the intersection of Hearne Avenue and Regent Street. Officers responded to reports of a pedestrian being struck in the northbound lanes of Hearne Avenue. Witnesses told investigators that Cali was attempting to run across the roadway when she was hit by a 2007 Toyota Corolla.

Emergency responders transported the teen to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office officially identified Cali as the victim on Wednesday. The driver remained at the scene, cooperated fully with police, and submitted to routine drug screening. Authorities said impairment is not suspected and no citations have been issued at this time.

Cali’s mother, Autumn Cherie Agent, confirmed her daughter’s identity and shared that Cali had just turned 14 two weeks before the crash. She was an eighth-grade honors student at Magnolia School of Excellence, where she was known for her academic dedication and kind spirit.

Described lovingly by her family as “Kitty,” Cali had a deep love for animals—especially cats—and was a devoted fan of K-Pop Demon Hunters. The investigation remains ongoing as police continue reviewing evidence from the scene.
