A Wisconsin mother, Jourdan Feasby of Kenosha, is grieving the unimaginable loss of her three young children after a devastating fire at their father’s apartment on Thanksgiving night.
“It just doesn’t seem real yet to me… I can’t believe that this is my reality right now,” Feasby told CBS 58 on Saturday, still in disbelief as she spoke about the tragedy.
Feasby shared Thanksgiving morning with her children — Rylee Levi, 10, Connor Liam, 9, and Alena Ellen, 7 — before they went to spend the evening with their father, with whom she shares custody. It was supposed to be a normal holiday visit.
Around 10:30 p.m., Kenosha police and firefighters responded to a structure fire at a multi-family apartment building. Photos showed a charred residence and a taped-off scene as emergency crews worked through the night.
Both Rylee and Connor died at the scene from the fire. Alena was airlifted to a hospital but tragically passed away from her injuries soon afterward.

“I was so excited for Christmas shopping — but now it’s just caskets,” Feasby said through tears. “They brought all of this light that now I don’t have.”
A GoFundMe created to support the grieving family has raised more than $40,000. The page describes the children as “bright lights in this world,” each with their own personality and joy. “No parent should ever have to bury their children — let alone all three at once,” it reads.
The children’s father was hospitalized for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

“You can sit here and say, ‘I would’ve done this and that,’ but when you’re actually in it, it’s completely different,” Feasby said. “But I will tell you — if I was in that situation, without a doubt, my kids would’ve been out or I would’ve been dead with them.”
“I feel so alone… to go from having my whole world to nothing,” she added. “Hug your babies and enjoy them this Christmas, because you could be in my position, and you never know when it’s the last day.”
