Reina Nikki Noire Identified as Woman Who Shot and Killed Law Cease Charley in Morgan Park, Chicago Police Say

Chicago, IL – Chicago Police are investigating a domestic-related shooting in the Morgan Park neighborhood that left 41-year-old Law Cease Charley dead early Monday morning. Authorities say the shooting occurred near 111th Place and Racine Avenue and involved a woman identified as Reina Nikki Noire.

According to police, officers responded around 2:20 a.m. to a residence where they found Charley with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators say the woman involved, identified as Noire, told officers she holds a valid FOID card and claimed she shot Charley after he allegedly struck her during a physical altercation. Police confirmed she called 911 immediately after the incident.

A firearm was recovered at the scene, and Area Two detectives are actively investigating. As of now, no arrests have been made, and Noire has not been charged. Police emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and that detectives are working to determine the full circumstances leading up to the shooting.
