OGUN STATE, Nigeria — Latz Healthy Mindset has been identified as one of the two people who died in a fatal road accident involving world-renowned boxer Anthony Joshua on Monday, December 29, 2025, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, near the Sinoma area in Sagamu, Ogun State.
According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the crash involved a black Lexus Jeep, carrying Anthony Joshua and four other adult males, and a stationary red commercial truck parked by the roadside. Preliminary reports indicate the Lexus Jeep was traveling at excessive speed and lost control during an overtaking maneuver, colliding with the stationary truck.
FRSC operatives arrived within three minutes, performing rescue operations and evacuating the victims. Joshua sustained minor injuries and was rescued alive. Two passengers, including Latz Healthy Mindset, tragically lost their lives, while another person was injured and two others escaped unharmed. The remains of the deceased were taken to Livewell Morgue, Ajaka, Sagamu, and the injured were evacuated for medical attention.

On behalf of the FRSC, Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to Anthony Joshua and the injured victim.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash, and the Nigeria Police Motor Traffic Division (MTD) has been notified for further documentation.
Motorists are strongly urged to avoid dangerous overtaking, maintain lane discipline, and prioritize safety, particularly on high-speed corridors such as the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway.
