Vito Dambrosio, 30, fatally stabbed his parents, Antonio (Anthony) Dambrosio, 70, and Angela Pulisciano Dambrosio, 62, inside their family-owned A & A Italian Deli and Pizza on Hicksville Road Thursday morning, according to Nassau County Police.
The attack happened just after 9 a.m. inside the deli the Seaford couple had operated for decades. Officers responding at 9:11 a.m. found both victims unresponsive with fatal stab wounds. A knife was recovered at the scene.
Dambrosio was taken into custody immediately. Witnesses said his hands were covered in blood as officers escorted him to a police van.
“I Just Stabbed My Parents,” Witness Says Suspect Confessed
Eyewitness Joe Boros, 97, said he watched Dambrosio walk out of the deli and bluntly state, “I just stabbed my parents,” before surrendering without any resistance. Another witness described him exiting “very casually” as emergency responders arrived.
Community Mourning Beloved Deli Owners
Antonio and Angela were widely known as hardworking, warm, and generous members of the Bethpage and Seaford communities. Their deli was a neighborhood staple, especially on busy weekend mornings.

Customers described them as friendly, kind, and devoted to their family and business.
Son Had History of Drug Addiction, Family Friend Says
A family friend said Dambrosio had struggled with a serious drug addiction for years and had previously been in trouble with the law. Customers recalled seeing the couple’s son over the years and said he often seemed troubled.
Investigation Continuing
Nassau County Police say the investigation remains active. Detectives are working to determine what took place inside the deli in the moments before the fatal stabbing.
The killings have devastated the community, leaving neighbors and customers mourning the loss of a beloved couple who poured decades into their family business.
