Lance White has been identified as the suspect in the fatal shooting of Alicia Renee Machnik, a 29-year-old mother of two who was killed Wednesday afternoon on Milwaukee’s northwest side, according to family members and police.
Milwaukee police said the shooting occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. on January 14 near the intersection of Appleton Avenue and Silver Spring Drive, close to the Port Motel. Officers responding to the scene found Machnik suffering from gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
Family members later identified the victim as Alicia Renee Machnik and said the suspected shooter was her boyfriend, Lance White. Authorities have not yet released details regarding an arrest or additional circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Milwaukee police continue to investigate the homicide and have not provided further information at this time.
