A video circulating online is drawing attention after it appeared to show part of an altercation that allegedly preceded an incident in which a woman claims she was run over by her ex-boyfriend in a bar parking lot.
According to a social media post widely shared by a local community page, the woman identified as Nicole Bailie Mclean says her former partner, Deon Jones, intentionally struck her with a pickup truck outside a beach bar. She was reportedly transported by EMS to a hospital for treatment following the incident.
The short clip included in the post shows a man standing near a truck while several people gather around in the parking lot. The page identifies the man as Jones and alleges he had just hit Mclean. In audio attributed to him in the footage, a voice can be heard saying he “hit a curb” and later stating, “I think she was hit by a car… we need to find who did this.”
Mclean claims that after she was injured and left on the ground, bystanders leaving the bar discovered her and called for help. She also alleges that Jones initially told people inside the bar he had struck a curb rather than a person, and later suggested to her family that someone else may have hit her.
At this time, no official police report or public law-enforcement statement confirming the allegations has been released, and it is unclear whether any charges have been filed. Authorities have reportedly indicated the situation is under investigation.
Under Ohio law, intentionally or recklessly causing serious injury with a vehicle can lead to felony charges such as vehicular assault or aggravated vehicular assault, depending on the circumstances and evidence established by investigators.
The claims circulating online have not yet been independently verified, and additional details may change as authorities release confirmed information.
