The incident has drawn widespread attention online as old messages allegedly involving Ayres and Diamond Howard began circulating shortly after her death.

Screenshots of past conversations, dated November 2025, show Ayres allegedly mocking the death of Howard’s brother. The resurfaced messages have gone viral, with some social media users speculating about a possible connection to the fatal shooting.
