Codey Garrard Killed in Late-Night Shooting at Meadows Apartments in Indianapolis [VIDEO]

A man identified as Codey Garrard has died following a late-night shooting at the Meadows Apartments on Indianapolis’ northeast side, authorities said. Four people were detained at the scene as police continue their investigation.

Shooting reported at Edgemere Court

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting early Saturday morning in the 4100 block of Edgemere Court, near 42nd Street.

When officers arrived, they found Garrard suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Multiple people detained

Police said four individuals were detained at the scene for questioning. Authorities have not released additional information regarding what led to the shooting, the circumstances of the altercation, or whether any charges have been filed.
