FAKED PREGNANCY? Missing Midwest City Woman Jordan Clayborn Found Safe, Family Says She Was Not Pregnant

A woman who was reported missing in Midwest City has been found safe, according to police, after family members raised concerns when she failed to show up for what they believed was a scheduled C-section appointment.

Authorities with the Midwest City Police Department confirmed that 26-year-old Jordan Clayborn was located Thursday afternoon at a friend’s home. Officials said she was never in danger.

Family Reported Jordan Clayborn Missing

Clayborn was reported missing earlier Thursday after relatives said they had lost contact with her and believed she was preparing for a scheduled C-section around 11 a.m.

Her sister, Avery Clayborn, told reporters that the family became worried when Jordan did not show up for the appointment and her phone appeared to be turned off.

“I talked to her the night before, and she was happy,” Avery said. “She was laughing. She told me she would see me the next day, and everything seemed fine.”

Family members said they believed Clayborn was 41 weeks pregnant and heading to a medical appointment before communication suddenly stopped.

Police Confirm No Appointment Was Scheduled

According to investigators, detectives later contacted the medical office where Clayborn was believed to have an appointment.

Police said the doctor’s office confirmed that Jordan Clayborn did not have a scheduled appointment and had not checked in, contradicting the original claim that she was preparing for a C-section.

Authorities also confirmed that Clayborn had been last seen leaving her home around 10 a.m. Thursday.

Earlier reports indicated that street cameras captured her silver Nissan Altima traveling near Northeast 63rd Street and Lake Hefner Parkway in nearby Oklahoma City.

Woman Found Safe at Friend’s Home

Later Thursday, police located Clayborn at a friend’s house.

Officials said she was safe and not in danger, bringing an end to the brief missing persons search.

Following her discovery, Clayborn’s family confirmed that she was not pregnant, despite earlier concerns that she had been expecting a child.

Family Left Confused by Situation

Avery Clayborn said the situation remains confusing for the family.

“The last thing she told me was that I would see her after she had the baby,” Avery said. “I was going to go visit her, and she said she loved me.”

Authorities have not released additional details about why Clayborn disappeared or why family members believed she had been pregnant.

The situation initially prompted a search effort after relatives reported that Clayborn’s phone had been turned off for several hours before they realized she was missing.

Police have not indicated that any criminal activity occurred in connection with the case.
