Jenna Strouble Arrested in Illinois Triple Homicide of Children’s Father Jacob Lambert and His Parents Stacy and Patrick Forde

A 30-year-old Indiana woman has been arrested in connection with the shooting deaths of her on-and-off boyfriend and his parents at their Illinois home, authorities announced.

Jenna Strouble, of St. John, Indiana, was charged with nine counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of 32-year-old Jacob Lambert and his parents, 54-year-old Stacy Forde and 55-year-old Patrick Forde. Illinois law allows multiple counts to be filed for a single crime under the state’s “One Good Count” rule.

The Will County Sheriff’s Office reported that the triple homicide occurred early Monday in Crete Township, Illinois. Deputies were called to perform a welfare check at the residence around 2 a.m. by a concerned family member. Upon arrival, authorities discovered Lambert dead in a car in the driveway, and his parents deceased inside their home near the front door.

According to investigators, Strouble and Lambert shared children and had an on-and-off relationship. The preliminary investigation indicates the killings were targeted, and Strouble reportedly made incriminating statements during police interviews. Authorities recovered a firearm that matched the one used in the homicides.

After the incident, Strouble allegedly fled to her home in St. John, Indiana, roughly eight miles from the crime scene. She was arrested there and is currently being held at the Lake County Jail in Indiana. She will remain in custody until extradition to Illinois for her charges.

The Will County Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to the St. John Police Department and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office for their swift response and collaboration, which helped bring Strouble into custody and move the investigation forward.
