A tragic incident unfolded in northeast Miami-Dade on Thursday after a 4-year-old girl was found unresponsive in a residential pool and later pronounced dead, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO).
The child was discovered at the bottom of the pool in the 20200 block of Northeast 15th Avenue. Paramedics transported her to a local hospital, where she was declared dead, officials confirmed.
Ky Stewart’s Statement on the Saloon Incident
Amid the community attention, Ky Stewart spoke about why she appeared at Adeanah Francis Yasminsdolltrap’s saloon with chicken blood on her scarf.
In her statement, Stewart said she did not intend to cause harm or create any supernatural confrontation.
“I seen this. I wasn’t tryna respond because I really don’t know what to say,” Stewart said. “I just wanted my hair done for my passport picture, but I needed my head cleaned before the appointment. My initial plan was to wash and blow dry my hair before I made it to her, but my baba said I needed to leave it in for an hour. I just needed a cleanse for protection. I’m not fighting no demons or nothing. If I would’ve known she was behind on heads, I definitely could’ve waited, but I didn’t know. She thought it would be good content, but it backfired real bad. But she’s done my hair multiple times before this.”
Stewart emphasized that her visit was intended for a personal cleansing ritual rather than any intentional confrontation or performance.
Community Reacts
The incident has drawn attention due to the unusual nature of the saloon visit, combined with the tragic news of the young girl’s death in the same community. Local authorities have not connected the two events but are continuing to investigate both situations.
