Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, a 35-year-old woman from Orlando, Florida, was arrested after reportedly firing multiple shots at the Beverly Hills home of pop superstar Rihanna on Sunday, authorities confirmed. Ortiz is being held on attempted murder charges, with bail set at $10.2 million.
Shooting Incident at Rihanna’s Residence
Police said Ortiz allegedly fired several rounds from her vehicle—a white Tesla—toward Rihanna’s mansion while the singer was inside. No one was injured during the incident, but bullets struck the exterior of the home and nearby property.
Authorities responded to a 911 call around 1:21 p.m., locating Ortiz shortly afterward in a Sherman Oaks parking lot, where she was arrested. According to reports, she fired approximately 10 shots, and photos from the scene show multiple bullet holes in the driveway gate. The suspect reportedly used an AR-15-style weapon, although police have not confirmed the type of firearm.
Social Media Posts Reveal Obsession
Investigators and media reports indicate that Ortiz maintained a weeks-long fixation on Rihanna, posting messages and content that targeted the singer specifically. Screenshots circulating online show posts in which Ortiz allegedly tagged Rihanna and used hostile, derogatory language, including unfounded allegations about the singer’s health.
In one post, Ortiz purportedly wrote that she was waiting for Rihanna’s “AIDS 5-head self” to “say something to me directly instead of sneaking around like you talking to me where I’m not at.” In another instance, she allegedly posted a meme insinuating that Rihanna had AIDS. TMZ reported that Ortiz also addressed rapper Cardi B in a video, claiming, “You ain’t doing nothing to me. You ain’t messing with me tonight.”
Authorities are still investigating Ortiz’s motive and whether she knew Rihanna resided at the home.Arrest and Legal Status
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed Ortiz was booked for attempted murder. She remains in custody, with bail set at $10,225,000. Police say Ortiz has a prior history of celebrity targeting, though details on prior incidents have not been disclosed.
No injuries were reported during the shooting. Rihanna, who shares three children with rapper A$AP Rocky, has not publicly commented on the incident. It is unclear if A$AP Rocky or their children—sons RZA, 3, Riot Rose, 2, and daughter Rocki, born September 2025—were at home at the time.
Community Reaction and Investigation
The shooting has raised concerns about celebrity security, social media threats, and the risks posed by individuals fixated on public figures. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack, including Ortiz’s intent and prior behaviors.
