Three Georgia teenagers, including a high school volleyball star, were tragically killed in a car crash while vacationing in Florida for spring break. Another teen remains in critical condition.
The fatal accident occurred Monday evening on Highway 65 in Franklin County, Florida, as the teens were heading to St. George Island. According to the Florida Department of Highway Safety, their Jeep veered off the road and struck a treeline.
The victims, all from Cumming, Georgia, have been identified as:
- Jaylyn Fehr, 17, a junior at Horizon Christian Academy, who was remembered as a star volleyball player and beloved member of her church community.
- Kenneth Fehr, 18
- A 16-year-old female
Jaylyn was known for her dedication both on and off the volleyball court, playing for A5 Gwinnett and being heavily involved in her church, Local Forsyth, and the youth group at Northpoint Community Church. Her family and friends described her as kind-hearted and deeply rooted in her faith.
Her parents, Lynne and Jason Fehr, survive her.
The school community at Horizon Christian Academy confirmed the loss of the teens, offering support to the families and students in mourning. In a statement, the school said, “We pray that God’s presence would be deeply felt by these grieving families, and that His presence would bring comfort, peace, and hope even in the midst of unimaginable loss.”
