Chicago police are investigating a triple shooting on 35th Street and Rhodes Avenue that left three people injured, including an 8-year-old girl.
The incident occurred around 4:48 p.m. when officers responded to multiple calls of shots fired. Upon arrival, they discovered three victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
- 8-year-old girl: Shot in the foot, transported to Comer Children’s Hospital in good condition.
- 24-year-old man: Sustained gunshot wounds to the chest, arm, and groin; taken to Stroger Hospital in fair condition.
- 28-year-old woman: Shot in the knee; transported to the University of Chicago Hospital in good condition.
According to the Chicago Police Department, the victims were standing outside when a dark-colored SUV pulled up and someone inside fired shots at them before fleeing the scene.
Authorities reported that the suspects attempted to escape on a motorbike and were reportedly hit by a vehicle while fleeing. No arrests have been made, and Area Detectives are actively investigating the shooting.
