Blue Line 281 Shot Dead While Partying With Wife at Paradise City Gentleman’s Club as Suspect Flees; One Killed, One Injured in Houston Shooting, HPD Investigating

A man identified as Blue Line 281 was shot and killed while out with his wife during an early morning outing at Paradise City Gentleman’s Club, as gunfire erupted outside the Houston venue, police said.

The deadly shooting unfolded around 5:02 a.m. Saturday at the club located at 12330 Gulf Freeway near Fuqua. According to the Houston Police Department (HPD), officers responded to reports of a shooting in progress and arrived within minutes to find a chaotic scene, with a large crowd and multiple victims down in the parking lot.

Authorities said one man, described as Hispanic and in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. He has since been identified as Blue Line 281. A second victim, a Black male, was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive, with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Investigators believe the violence may have started as a disturbance inside the gentleman’s club before escalating and spilling into the parking lot. At least one suspect opened fire into a crowd, striking individuals who police say appear to have been innocent bystanders and not involved in the initial altercation.

Witnesses told officers that the victim had been at the club with friends, and his wife of 20 years was also present. Police said she ran to his side after hearing the gunfire.

The suspect, or suspects, fled the scene in a light-colored vehicle with multiple occupants. HPD said the individuals were described as Hispanic or white males, though the exact number of shooters remains unclear. As of now, no arrests have been made.

During the incident, a security guard at the club reportedly returned fire. Police confirmed the guard was detained and questioned but is cooperating fully with investigators and is not expected to face charges. It remains unknown whether the guard struck anyone.

Detectives and crime scene investigators spent hours at the location gathering ballistic evidence and working to reconstruct the sequence of events. Authorities are also reviewing surveillance footage, though officials noted that camera blind spots may limit what was captured.

Paradise City Gentleman’s Club operates from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and is known as a BYOB establishment that does not serve alcohol, according to police.

The motive behind the shooting has not yet been determined, and the investigation remains ongoing.
