Authorities in Albany are searching for Braylen Robinson, who is wanted in connection with two separate shootings, including one that left 31-year-old Kiambria Young dead.
The Albany Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Robinson, who they say should be considered armed and dangerous.
Fatal Shooting Claims Life of Mother of Five
Police say Robinson is a person of interest in a shooting that occurred on April 28 in the 1000 block of South Cleveland Street.
That incident left five people injured. Kiambria Young later died from her injuries, according to authorities. Family members have identified her as a mother of five, adding to the tragedy of the case.
Second Shooting Involved Child in Vehicle
Investigators also link Robinson to a second shooting that took place on April 29 in South Albany.
In that incident, a man was shot while riding in a vehicle with a female driver and an infant child. After the shooting, the driver attempted to rush the victim to the hospital but was involved in a crash at Oakridge Drive and Madison Street.
Police say one vehicle overturned while another ended up in a ditch. Multiple individuals were transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police Chase and Ongoing Search
Authorities later located the vehicle Robinson was believed to be driving. When officers attempted to approach, he allegedly reversed and accelerated toward police vehicles, prompting a pursuit.
The vehicle was eventually recovered, but Robinson fled and remains on the run.
Public Urged to Help
Police are urging anyone with information about Robinson’s whereabouts to contact 911 immediately. Officials warn that he should not be approached due to the potential danger.
The investigation remains ongoing.
