Tyeisha Parks, Known as Tye Kieonne, Claims Arrest in Bali Over Alleged Marijuana Possession; Seeks $75K to Avoid Jail as Story Draws Scrutiny

A woman identified online as Tyeisha Parks is gaining widespread attention after claiming she was arrested in Bali for allegedly bringing a banned substance into the country — and is now seeking tens of thousands of dollars to avoid a lengthy prison sentence.

In a series of emotional social media posts, Parks said she was detained after failing to research local laws before traveling. She claimed she is being required to pay $75,000 to resolve the situation and is urgently asking for at least $30,000 by Monday in order to enter a rehabilitation program and return home.

“Hey y’all… I made a mistake not researching and took the wrong thing in my suitcase to Bali,” she wrote. “I was arrested and I can’t come home until I pay $75,000… I’m begging y’all to get me home to my babies.”

According to information circulating online, Parks was allegedly found in possession of approximately 5 grams of marijuana. However, officials in Indonesia have not publicly confirmed the details of her case.

Indonesia has some of the strictest drug laws in the world, and even small amounts of illegal substances can carry severe penalties, including multi-year prison sentences.

Parks claims that if she is unable to pay the requested amount, she could face up to four years in prison. She also stated that she has limited phone access while being held and insisted that her fundraising efforts are legitimate.

A GoFundMe campaign connected to her case has reportedly raised over $6,000 so far, with supporters expressing sympathy and a desire to help her return home to her children.

At the same time, others online have questioned the details of the situation, including the amount being requested and how such legal processes typically work in foreign countries.

As of now, there has been no independent verification from authorities regarding Parks’ claims, and the full circumstances surrounding her arrest remain unclear.
