Ethan Thomas Strohmeier, a 22-year-old motorcyclist from Quakertown, has been identified as the victim of a fiery crash in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
The fatal collision occurred on Pumping Station Road near Veterans Park in Richland Township on Friday, May 8. Early reports indicate that Strohmeier’s motorcycle and an SUV collided, causing both vehicles to catch fire.
Authorities confirmed Strohmeier’s death following the crash. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
According to his obituary, Strohmeier “died doing what he loved — riding his motorcycle.”
A 2022 graduate of The Academy, Strohmeier had been accepted into the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and worked at Derstine’s, where family and friends said he was always eager to learn and grow in his trade.
Loved ones remembered him for his passion for motorcycles, cars, and the outdoors. His obituary highlighted his pride in his loud blue MK4 Jetta and his habit of “2-stepping through driveways early in the morning or late at night.”“He truly lived every day like it would be his last, to the fullest,” his family wrote. Strohmeier is survived by his mother, Dana Stewart; father, Matt Ervin; stepfather, Fran Stewart; siblings, Porter and Laylah; extended family members; and his dog, Ace.
A balloon release was held in his memory on Tuesday, May 12. Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, May 15, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service Ltd. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., with attendees encouraged to wear red in his honor.
