Anissa Osborne Shot Dead by Husband Christopher Osborne in Apparent Murder-Suicide at Florida RV Campground, Families Say ‘This Makes No Sense’

Families of Anissa Osborne and her husband Christopher Osborne are mourning in shock after the couple, known online for documenting their “RV life” lifestyle, were found dead inside their RV at a Florida campground in what authorities believe was a murder-suicide.

According to the Baker County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded Sunday, May 3, to Ocean Pond Campground in the Osceola National Forest after campground staff and friends requested a welfare check when they were unable to contact the couple. Inside the RV, deputies discovered 56-year-old Anissa Osborne and 51-year-old Christopher Osborne dead from gunshot wounds.

Investigators believe Christopher Osborne fatally shot his wife before turning the gun on himself, though authorities say the case remains under investigation.

The Osbornes worked as camp hosts at the campground, assisting visitors and helping manage daily operations. The couple also shared their lifestyle online through social media, including Anissa’s Facebook posts and their Instagram account, “osborne_rv_life_,” where they frequently documented their travels, outdoor adventures, and relationship.

Family members say the violent deaths have left them devastated and searching for answers, describing the incident as completely out of character.

“He was always posting things about the love of his life and how much he loved his wife,” Christopher Osborne’s aunt, Sharon Alvarez, told First Coast News. “To know that he allegedly killed her … this makes no sense.”

Friends and relatives described Anissa Osborne as a caring former nurse who embraced the couple’s minimalist RV lifestyle and loved living in nature. Her cousin, Laura Lorenzo Curry, remembered her as “a really vibrant, bubbly personality” with a free spirit and sense of humor.

Social media posts shared by the couple in recent months showed affectionate moments together, including photos of Christopher giving Anissa flowers and expressing his love publicly online. In one Facebook post from November, Christopher wrote, “My wife, my angel. I can’t live without you.”

The tragedy has sparked heartbreak and emotional reactions from loved ones online. Anissa’s cousin, Deborah Helm Sells, wrote in a Facebook tribute that she was angry and struggling to process the loss, while also believing Anissa would have wanted forgiveness.

Flowers and memorial items have since been left outside the couple’s campsite as both families continue grieving the sudden loss while awaiting additional answers from investigators.

Authorities have not released further details as the investigation continues.
