Philadelphia Woman Kada Scott Missing After Reporting Harassment — Police, Family Plead for Help

Philadelphia, PA — Authorities and family members are searching for Kada Scott, a 23-year-old Philadelphia woman and aspiring beauty queen who went missing after leaving for work at a local senior living facility last weekend.

Scott, who worked the overnight shift at The Terrace at Chestnut Hill, was last seen around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday as she left home to begin her shift. However, she never arrived at the facility, located on East Abington Avenue. Her vehicle was later found parked outside the workplace, but there has been no sign of Scott since.

Police say Scott’s phone has been powered off, and there has been no social media or digital activity since her disappearance.

“You have a 23-year-old young lady who has completely disappeared. We have no cell phone activity or social media activity, and she’s not reached out to family or friends,” said Captain John Craig of the Philadelphia Police Northwest Detectives Division.

Scott’s mother, Kim Matthews, described her daughter’s disappearance as completely out of character.

“She would just not leave and not contact friends or family,” Matthews said. “I just need her to come home and be safe. That’s what I fear – she’s not safe.”

According to investigators, Scott had reported being harassed days before she vanished.

“Days prior to her disappearance, Miss Scott related to family and friends that unknown individuals or person had been harassing her via phone,” Captain Craig confirmed. “We’re investigating that. We’re trying to learn more.”

Family members said Scott did not reveal any names but had mentioned receiving troubling calls. Police are now working to identify who may have been behind the harassment.

Kada Scott, missing Philadelphia woman had complained about being harassed days before failing to turn up to her place of work.
K-9 units and helicopters have been deployed as part of the ongoing search, with detectives interviewing Scott’s friends, coworkers, and neighbors for leads.

Scott is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 120 pounds, with a slim build.

In a statement, Bridge Senior Living, the company managing the facility, said:

“We take our associates’ safety and wellbeing very seriously and are fully cooperating with law enforcement’s efforts to locate Ms. Scott. As this is an active investigation, we are unable to share additional details at this time. Our thoughts are with Ms. Scott and her family, and we remain hopeful for a positive outcome.”

Scott, a Penn State graduate, was pursuing entrepreneurial and creative goals alongside her work at the facility. She had also been competing in beauty pageants, with aspirations to represent Pennsylvania in the Miss USA competition.

Captain Craig urged the public to come forward with any information that could help bring Kada home.

“No matter what information you have, think of it as a possible piece of a large jigsaw puzzle,” he said. “If there’s 100 pieces to a puzzle, you may think yours is insignificant, but without your piece, that puzzle can’t be solved.”

Anyone with information about Kada Scott’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Philadelphia Police Department at 215-686-TIPS (8477) or submit a confidential tip online.
