Mamelodi, South Africa (October 27, 2025) — A 38-year-old man identified as Tebogo Mnisi has been arrested in connection with the brutal double murder of two young women — cousins known as the Moramaga cousins — in Mahube Valley Extension 17, Mamelodi East. Mnisi, who reportedly worked as a tavern bouncer, is also facing an additional charge of attempted murder.
According to local reports, Mnisi allegedly spent R10,000 on the two women before killing them in the early hours of Sunday, October 26. The victims’ bodies were discovered dumped on a street in Mamelodi Ext 17 around 2 a.m.
Disturbing Details Emerge
A chilling WhatsApp message from one of the victims, Tshiamo Moramaga, sent shortly before the murders, appeared to implicate Mnisi. The message, written in Sepedi, read: “Tlaa go Tebogo ashuu wa actor moh” — translated as “Come, Tebogo is acting up.”
Following news of the killings, enraged community members torched Mnisi’s home later that same day. Police confirmed that Mnisi was later arrested at a Pretoria filling station and taken into custody.
