An 18-year-old Indiana teen obsessed with mass school shootings has admitted to plotting a Valentine’s Day attack at Mooresville High School, where she was a senior earlier this year.

Trinity ‘Jamie’ Shockley is expected to plead guilty to felony conspiracy to commit murder as part of a plea deal that could see her serve up to 12.5 years in prison, followed by five years of probation, according to the Morgan County Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities say Shockley, who identifies as male and uses the name Jamie, was arrested in February after police received a tip that she had purchased a bulletproof vest, had access to an AR-15, and was deeply fixated on mass shooters.

Obsession with Notorious Shooters

When police searched Shockley’s home, they found her room covered with tributes to Nikolas Cruz, the Parkland, Florida shooter who killed 14 students and three staff members on February 14, 2018. Investigators also noted her fascination with other mass shooters, including Dylan Roof and Andrew Blaze.

Evidence revealed that Shockley had been planning a shooting at her former school to occur during lunchtime, deliberately coinciding with the anniversary of the Parkland shooting.

Shockley was previously in the news after she was hit by a suspected drunk driver in 2022

Investigators also traced online communications on Discord, where Shockley, using the username “crazynickolaz,” allegedly wrote:
"Parkland part two. Of course, I’ve been planning this for a YEAR."

Initially, Shockley told police that the plot was motivated by a desire to prove she was Cruz’s “number one fan.” She later claimed the threats were a joke.

Court and Plea Deal Conditions

As part of her plea agreement, Shockley will face strict lifelong restrictions, including:

  • A permanent ban from researching school shooters

  • Monitoring of all electronic devices to ensure compliance

  • A lifetime prohibition on owning firearms

  • Mandatory mental health counseling

  • Permanent exclusion from all Morgan County school properties and events

Shockley remains in custody in Morgan County and is scheduled to formally enter her plea in court on November 24, where her sentence will be finalized.
