Prince Tshina Tshivhase Reveals Hangwani Maumela Listed as Wedding Guest at Murendeni and Elizabeth Netshituka Ceremony

Prince Tshina Tshivhase has sparked widespread discussion after revealing that Hangwani Maumela was seated at Table 20 during the wedding of Murendeni Netshituka and Elizabeth Caroline Netshituka — a disclosure that has drawn intense public interest.

The revelation followed an explosive social media post by Prince Tshivhase, viewed more than 500,000 times, in which he confirmed his attendance at the high-profile wedding and detailed the guest arrangements at the event. According to Tshivhase, Maumela — a figure already surrounded by controversy — was among the attendees seated at Table 20.

Hangwani Maumela has previously been linked to allegations surrounding the R2 billion looting scandal at Tembisa Hospital and was named in testimony at the Madlanga Commission, where it was alleged he sought to expand his healthcare contract operations into the North West province with assistance from the Brown Mogotsi Foundation.

Maumela is also known to be a business partner and close associate of Vusi “Cat” Matlala. The two reportedly served as directors of Cat VIP, and evidence presented by Advocate Chaskalson suggested they were jointly involved in securing a South African Police Service (SAPS) tender valued at R360 million.

The disclosure has raised new questions about the guest list and the broader network surrounding the wedding. Observers are now asking who else attended the ceremony — particularly those seated at the most prominent tables.

Among the questions gaining traction: Who is Murendeni Netshituka’s father, and what level of influence does he hold to attract senior healthcare executives, tender-linked businessmen, and insurance industry figures to such a private family event? And if Table 20 included individuals of this profile, who occupied Tables 1 through 5?

As scrutiny intensifies, attention continues to focus on the connections between powerful business figures, political networks, and elite social gatherings — and what those relationships may reveal.
