Adrienne Reid Charged With False Reporting as Search Continues for Missing Toddler Genesis Nova Reid in Enterprise Amid Timeline Inconsistencies and Ongoing Multi-Agency Investigation

A 2-year-old Alabama girl remains missing as her mother, Adrienne Reid, faces criminal charges after investigators said inconsistencies emerged in her account of the child’s disappearance.

Police said Genesis Nova Reid was reported missing around 3 a.m. Feb. 16, when her mother claimed the toddler was not in her bed and that the front door of their home was open. However, as detectives conducted interviews and examined evidence, they determined the child had not been seen for several weeks prior to the report.

Authorities subsequently charged Reid, 33, with false reporting to law enforcement. She is currently being held without bond while investigators continue working to determine the child’s whereabouts.

According to Enterprise Police Department, an individual known only as “Moriah” is being actively investigated as a person of interest but is not considered a suspect. Police described the woman as someone who frequents Levels Bar and Grille and areas in Ozark.

Police Chief Michael Moore said investigators’ primary focus is finding the missing child and safely returning her to family members. Multiple agencies are assisting, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Marshals Service, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, and Coffee County Sheriff's Office.

Officials said the investigation is ongoing and urged anyone with information about Genesis’s location to contact police immediately.
