Former Prince Andrew — Now Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor — Arrested on His 66th Birthday on Suspicion of Misconduct in Public Office After Allegations in Newly Released Epstein Files

A former ninth-grade teacher in Lee County, Georgia, turned herself in to authorities the morning of Feb. 18 after warrants were issued in connection with allegations of inappropriate contact with a student, according to law enforcement.

Officials say the case began when police in Leesburg were alerted to accusations involving a teacher and a student. Investigators from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation were called in to assist with the inquiry. Authorities later obtained arrest warrants, and the former educator voluntarily surrendered.

The local school system confirmed earlier this month that it had been made aware of reports and rumors involving alleged misconduct by a staff member who is no longer employed by the district. In a statement to families, school officials said leadership acted immediately upon learning of the allegations to protect students and cooperate fully with investigators.

County arrest records show the former teacher faces charges of child molestation and sexual assault by a teacher or other school authority. Authorities said bond was set at $50,000, with each charge carrying a potential $25,000 fine.

Investigators have not yet released further details about the evidence in the case, and the state investigative agency has not provided additional updates.
