Braddock, Pennsylvania — A 26-year-old woman, identified as Quinn Venay, was shot and killed, while two others were critically injured in an early-morning shooting in the Pittsburgh suburb of Braddock, authorities confirmed.
According to the Allegheny County Police Department, officers were called to the 800 block of Braddock Avenue just after 2 a.m. on Saturday following reports of gunfire.
When first responders arrived, they found Venay dead at the scene. Two other women were also discovered suffering from gunshot wounds and were rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed the identity of the victim as Quinn Venay.
Preliminary investigations indicate that a small group of people had gathered on the sidewalk outside a residence when an unknown gunman opened fire from across the street. Authorities say the shooting appears to have been targeted, but the exact motive remains unclear.
At this time, no suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made. Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
