Aaron and Sherron James have deactivated their social media accounts following a viral confrontation at a Pigeon Forge parking lot in Tennessee that involved Aaron, now nicknamed the “Kangaroo Man.”
The incident, which quickly circulated online, shows Aaron James shirtless and confronting Tiffany and her husband. In response to the backlash, Aaron released a statement before the couple removed their accounts, explaining the events from his perspective.
In his statement, Aaron said:
“I'm sure by now you've seen a video circulating throughout social media displaying an altercation we had with an individual. The video depicts me raging; however, it doesn’t show the full story. When entering the parking lot, a car veered into our lane, and before hitting them we stopped. The car then sped off. As we tried finding a parking spot, we noticed the car following us, which we assumed was looking for trouble. Eventually, we parked, and as my family got out of the car, so did the individual. What the video doesn’t show is the individual approaching my wife while she was screaming for him to leave us alone. He kept approaching her until I engaged—that’s where the video begins.
These people are influencers and, from our research, appear to be rage baiters. We are victims and are fighting behind the scenes for our truth. We felt it was important to share our side. Our personal and professional lives have been affected, and this has implications for our children. We will not sit silently and be judged by a video we believe was set up for entertainment at our expense. We ask for your support and prayers as we defend our rights against what we consider malicious behavior.”
The Jameses’ statement emphasizes that they feel the video misrepresented the situation and that the viral footage has had a significant impact on their family’s lives.
