Grand Rapids Police Search for Domestic Violence Suspect Chad Ashton Grady Following Assault on 28th Street and Burlingame Avenue [VIDEO]

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Law enforcement officials are actively searching for a local man accused of a violent domestic assault following an incident at a busy Grand Rapids intersection.

According to sources close to the investigation, Chad Ashton Grady is currently at large after allegedly assaulting a woman inside a vehicle near the intersection of 28th Street and Burlingame Avenue.

Following the assault, authorities were deployed to locate the children involved in the situation. Police successfully tracked the children to the residence of the suspect's mother. While the suspect's mother was reportedly uncooperative with responding officers, she ultimately allowed the children to leave safely in the care of the suspect and the victim’s sister.

"According to information, they’re safe now, but we suspect he is hiding at his mom’s," a source stated regarding the current whereabouts of Grady. "The cops are aware that there’s good reason to believe he’s there. Hopefully there’s an arrest soon."
